Board Of Directors Biographies

Brendan Monaghan is President and Chief Executive Officer of Libsyn and joined the Board of Directors in 2024. Mr. Monaghan is a seasoned leader in technology and podcasting. Prior to joining Libsyn, Mr. Monaghan held positions as co-founder and CEO of Megaphone, which was acquired by Spotify six years after its launch. Under Mr. Monaghan’s leadership, Megaphone delivered a comprehensive advertising and publishing platform that achieved a compound annual growth rate in excess of 130%.  At Spotify, Mr. Monaghan led the global Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business, expanding its podcasting platform into Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions. Before Megaphone, Mr. Monaghan was GM of Slate Magazine and held business development roles at The Washington Post.  Mr. Monaghan holds a Master of Business Administration degree from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Duquesne University.

Patrick Dolan is the Chairman of the Board and has served as a director of the Company since November 2021. He is a distinguished executive with more than 25 years of leadership in the digital media and advertising sectors.  Mr. Dolan currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of the Out of Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA), where he oversees operations and drives industry-wide initiatives to advance and modernize the out-of-home sector.  Previously, during his 14 years as President and COO of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), Mr Dolan played a pivotal role in shaping the podcasting industry, founding the IAB Podcast Upfronts and spearheading initiatives that helped transform the IAB into a leading voice for digital media.  Following his tenure at IAB, Mr. Dolan co-founded FxM, a fintech company focused on digital media supply chain efficiency, and launched Deerline Studios, an independent film production company. He also serves as an Executive in Residence at Progress Partners and contributes to the Rutgers Business School Marketing Advisory Board.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Dolan held leadership roles at DoubleClick, where he established the company’s international headquarters in Dublin and integrated Oracle Financials into its DART platform, pioneering data-driven advertising and behavioral retargeting. He also served as CFO of Locomotion, a Hearst/Claxon joint venture cable channel, where he led its spin-off and sale to Sony.  Mr. Dolan holds degrees from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University. A frequent speaker at global industry forums, he has been featured in publications including The Wall Street Journal, AdAge, and AdExchanger.

Ian Harris joined the Board in December 2022. Mr. Harris is the Chief Financial Officer of Talkspace, Inc. (Nasdaq: TALK), a leading healthcare technology company and one of the largest providers of digital behavioral health services. Previously, Mr. Harris was a Partner and Managing Director at Hudson Executive Capital LP, a value-oriented investment firm focused on small and mid-cap public companies. At Hudson Executive Capital, Mr. Harris focused on investments in technology, financial services, and healthcare. Mr. Harris currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cantaloupe, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTLP), a software and payments company that provides end-to-end technology solutions for the unattended retail market. Prior to Hudson, Mr. Harris worked at Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays PLC, where he advised companies on M&A and capital markets activities. Mr. Harris graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations.

Lauren Jarvis joined the Board in September 2024.  Ms. Jarvis is an accomplished executive, investor, and advisor with over fifteen years of leadership experience across public technology companies, startups, and entrepreneurial ventures. She has held senior roles at Spotify and Vevo, where she championed Spotify’s earliest podcast strategy and led Vevo’s OTT, set-top-box, and mobile initiatives, and later served as a General Manager at inflection-stage companies in the books and gaming sectors. Her responsibilities have spanned merger and acquisition sponsorship, CEO-level transformation, and oversight of strategic budgets, as well as building and leading cross-functional teams across business development, legal, marketing, and communications. She has executed more than $2 billion in strategic deals and acquisitions across content, consumer, and AI, and brings board experience with a sharp focus on governance, execution, and long-term value creation. Ms. Jarvis also serves on the Board of Brandeis University’s International Business School. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the London Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University, where she graduated cum laude with highest honors. 

Eric Shahinian has served as a director of the Company since October 2019. Mr. Shahinian is the managing member of Camac Partners LLC, a private investment firm that he founded in 2011. Prior to founding Camac, he was an analyst at Kingstown Capital Management L.P., an investment firm, from 2009 to 2011. Mr. Shahinian was a director of Khan Resources, Inc. from 2015 to 2017, during which time the company reached a settlement with the government of Mongolia regarding an arbitration award entered in the company’s favor and paid out a large return of capital. Mr. Shahinian has a Bachelor Of Science degree from Babson College.

 

Michael Torok is the co-founder and managing director of JEC Capital Partners, LLC, an investment company with offices in the United States and Germany founded in 2008. Before that, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Integrated Dynamics Engineering Inc., a semiconductor equipment technology company that was acquired by Aalberts Industries. Earlier in his career, Mr. Torok served in various positions for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, a multinational professional services network of firms. Mr. Torok currently serves on the Board of Directors of Amarin Corporation plc (NASDAQ: AMRN), a publicly traded pharmaceutical company focused on cardiovascular disease management.  Mr. Torok previously served on the board of directors of Photon Control Inc., which, before being acquired by MKS Instruments, Inc., designed and manufactured optical sensors and systems to measure temperature and position, Symbility Solutions Inc., which before being acquired by Corelogic, Inc., was a software company focused on the insurance industry and Carisma Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: CARM), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company. Mr. Torok received a Bachelor Of Science degree in Finance and a Master’s degree in Finance from Boston College.
