Board Of Directors Biographies
Brendan Monaghan is President and CEO of Libsyn, and a member of the Board of Directors. Brendan is a seasoned leader in technology and podcasting. He joined Libsyn from Roda, where he served as CEO, innovating the car care industry with on-demand technology. Prior, he held positions as co-founder and CEO of Megaphone (acquired by Spotify six years after its launch). Under his leadership, Megaphone delivered a compound annual growth rate in excess of 130%. At Spotify, Brendan led the global Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business, expanding its podcasting platform into Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions. Before Megaphone, Brendan was GM of Slate Magazine and held business development roles at The Washington Post. Brendan’s impressive track record in podcasting and high-growth tech companies, strategic vision and hands-on leadership make him an ideal fit for Libsyn. He holds an MA in Business Administration from MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA in Business Administration from Duquesne University.
Patrick Dolan is the Chairman of the Board and has served as a director of the Company since November 2021. Patrick Dolan is a distinguished executive with over 25 years of expertise in the digital media and advertising sectors. During his 14-year tenure as President and COO of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), he played a pivotal role in shaping the podcasting industry, founding the IAB Podcast Upfronts and spearheading transformative initiatives. Under his leadership, the IAB evolved from a nascent trade association into a prominent voice in digital media.Post-IAB, Dolan co-founded FxM, a fintech startup revolutionizing digital media supply chain efficiency. He serves as an Executive in Residence at Progress Partners, advises as a consultant, and co-founded Deerline Studios, an indie film production company. Additionally, he chairs the Board of Libsyn AdvertiseCast and contributes to the Rutgers Business School Marketing Advisory Board and gCommerce firm Scuti. Mr. Dolan’s career spans leadership roles at DoubleClick (acquired by Google) and the Hearst/Claxon joint venture cable channel Locomotion, where he successfully spun off and sold the channel to Sony. At DoubleClick, he established their international headquarters in Dublin and integrated Oracle Financials into the Dynamic Advertising, Reporting, and Targeting (DART) platform, pioneering behavioral retargeting and data-driven advertising segments based on clickstream data and other data-driven behavioral advertising products.Mr. Dolan holds degrees from the University of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University’s MBA program. Dolan is a sought-after speaker at industry forums and featured in esteemed publications including The Wall Street Journal, AdAge, and Ad Exchanger.

Ian Harris joined the Board in December 2022. Mr. Harris is the Chief Financial Officer of Talkspace, Inc. (Nasdaq: TALK), a leading healthcare technology company and one of the largest providers of digital behavioral health services. Previously, Mr. Harris was a Partner and Head of Research at Hudson Executive Capital LP, a value-oriented investment firm focused on small and mid-cap public companies. At Hudson Executive Capital, Mr. Harris focused on investments in technology, financial services, and healthcare. Mr. Harris currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cantaloupe, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTLP), a software and payments company that provides end-to-end technology solutions for the unattended retail market. Prior to Hudson, Ian worked at Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays PLC, where he advised companies on M&A and capital markets activities. Mr. Harris graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations.
The Company believes that Mr. Harris is a valuable member of the Board due to his knowledge and experience in corporate finance, corporate governance and technology, along with his experience serving public companies.
Lauren Jarvis is an investor and advisor to early-stage growth companies operating at the intersection of technology and media. Over the last twelve years, she has been a successful corporate and business development executive at both private and public companies in the digital media space. She also currently serves as a venture scout for Kleiner Perkins, making seed stage investments across consumer and SaaS. Previously, Lauren was an executive at Spotify where she championed the company’s earliest podcast strategy and investments. Prior to Spotify, she led the on product-driven business development efforts at Sony and Universal-owned Vevo, such as Vevo’s OTT, Set-top-Box, and mobile strategies. Lauren holds an MBA from the London Business School and a BA from Brandeis University, where she graduated cum laude, with highest honors and also received the University’s Alumni Association Leadership Award. Lauren now sits on the Brandeis University International Business School board.
The Company believes that Ms. Jarvis. is a valuable member of the Board due to her expertise in knowledge and experience in adtech, digital media and business development.
Eric Shahinian has served as a director of the Company since October 2019. Mr. Shahinian is the managing member of Camac Partners LLC, a private investment firm that he founded in 2011. Prior to founding Camac, he was an analyst at Kingstown Capital Management L.P., an investment firm, from 2009 to 2011. Mr. Shahinian was a director of Khan Resources, Inc. from 2015 to 2017, during which time the company reached a settlement with the government of Mongolia regarding an arbitration award entered in the company’s favor and paid out a large return of capital. Mr. Shahinian has a B.S. from Babson College.
The Company believes that Mr. Shahinian is a valuable member of the Board based on his knowledge and experience in investing, capital allocation, corporate governance and his general business experience.
Michael Torok is the co-founder and managing director of JEC Capital Partners, LLC, an investment company with offices in the United States and Germany founded in 2008. Before that, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Integrated Dynamics Engineering Inc., a semiconductor equipment technology company that was acquired by Aalberts Industries. Earlier in his career, Mr. Torok served in various positions for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, a multinational professional services network of firms. Mr. Torok currently serves on the board of directors of Carisma Therapeutics, Inc (NASDAQ: CARM), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a macrophage and monocyte cell engineering platform to develop transformative immunotherapies to treat cancer and other serious diseases. Mr. Torok previously served on the board of directors of Photon Control Inc., which, before being acquired by MKS Instruments, Inc., designed and manufactured optical sensors and systems to measure temperature and position. In addition, he previously served on the board of Symbility Solutions Inc., which before being acquired by Corelogic, Inc., was a software company focused on the insurance industry. Mr. Torok received a B.S. in Finance and a Master’s in Finance from Boston College.
